Though my traveling may be over, this won’t be my last post. I’m hoping to continue my blog with posts about food I make and eat and many travels I have in the future. So stay tuned for much, much more!
For my final trip through Europe, I spent a week wandering the wonderful city of London, England! I conveniently planned this trip and then went to Lisbon where I met this cute British guy living in London, who ended up being the best tour guide a girl could ask for!:)
We visited many of the popular sites throughout London like:
The London Tower
Tower Bridge(and the HMS Belfast ship)
Greenwich(learned from the local that it’s actually pronounced Gren-itch…)
St. Paul’s Cathedral and Millennium Bridge
Buckingham Palace, of course. The Queen was even in this day!
The touristy side of London was great, but there were a few places of London that were some of my absolute favorites. The London Eye and Big Ben at night are a wonderful site. And if you happen to be there and you’re waiting for it to get dark, I HIGHLY suggest the massive arcade(which includes go karts and bowling) inside the County Hall building next to the London Eye.
I don’t care if you’re young or old, M&M’s world is awesome. In London, it is English and Beatles themed so it is even cooler!!!(ok I might be a child for this one)
The Old Thameside Inn on the Thames River(yeah Thames is pronounced Tems…thanks to my Brit for the grammar lesson) is one of my favorite bars I’ve ever been to at night. It has an amazing view and atmosphere, and I would highly suggest it to anyone visiting the city.
Leicester Square is one of my favorite squares in London, full of amazing street performers, and an array of restaurants and shops. Highly suggest fish and chips anywhere you go and getting them with curry sauce is apparently the English way. Additionally, if you’re looking for some UNREAL eats, visit any of the neighborhood markets and you will find awesome food. The Greenwich Market and Borough Market are my absolute favorites. There’s a stand at Borough Market with wild boar hot dogs and venison burgers that could potentially change your life like it did mine…
Best part of London had to be my personal tour guide, Andy. I was a lucky girl to have you in London for a whole week and am the luckiest girl to have you now!! <3 you more than Mamu’s 18″ pepperoni pizza
London was all in all a great way to end my time abroad, but I must say I will miss every single piece of Europe until I’m back. Flights are almost booked for a trip back, so there will be many blog posts as those trips happen!! Thank you to everyone who kept up on my traveling while I was gone.
